A Winter's Tale: Where Snow Meets Warmth

Step into a picturesque winter evening, where snow blankets the world in quiet magic, and a cozy cottage glows with holiday cheer. This short poem captures the essence of the season, blending nostalgia, warmth, and the timeless beauty of a frosted landscape.

Faintly, a mellow snowflake places itself on the concrete. A white lacy blanket of snow consumes the path that lay in front of the cottage, making it almost impossible to distinguish between the pavement and the grass. The dainty flowers, which barely survived through the summer months, are engulfed by a snowy glaze. The world freezes up, and everything quietens down. The frosted cottage window broadcasts a tangerine coloured light onto the outside world, and a vast christmas tree stands before the window covered head to toe in twinkly string lights. Baubles cling onto the bottle green limbs of the tree, warm lights cascade down the sides of glistening evergreen, bringing back memories of simpler times. A delectable smell of mince pies creeps out the window, and smiles enchant the once empty room.
